outline for puzzle mini game

This is an outline for the first of 12 levels for our game. Each square that is outlined in grey represents the puzzle pieces. The number for this level is still to be decided but, the number will increase for each of the 12 levels to make the game harder as the levels increase. By doing this we hope that it will be- come an enjoyable game to play and not a boring, safe and easy game.

The blue square will change its position each level but for this level I decided to put it in the middle to allow the user to build the puzzle around it. I want the pieces to be the same size, as they would be when you place them into the main stage.

First Design

This is my first design for the section of the game that I will be creating. My design is based on the first level, as the levels increase in difficulty so will the puzzle (the amount of jigsaw pieces will increase). For this level the player will need to recreate the image using 8 pieces as the middle one will be one to help.

What in the World

For this project I am in a team with Chris, Anna, Mat and Gianna. We were asked to create a game to help mack a book interactive the book we are basing our game one is called "What in the world" and its target audience is 7-11 year olds. My part of the game is to create the puzzle feature at the end of the short adventure level. during the level the player will need to collect puzzle pieces to allow them to create the puzzle which, when completed will be displayed in the "Hall of Fame".
